10/27/2024It was a flavorful first edition, featuring distinguished guests – local producers, culinary arts chefs, wine experts, tastings, and discussions with remarkable and hardworking people who have transformed their products into a tourist attraction.
This edition aimed to forge connections between local producers and specialists, bringing together all those who enhance the flavors of our traditional dishes. The organizers, the Faculty of Food Engineering, Tourism, and Environmental Protection, led by Associate Professors Dr. Anca Mihaela Dicu and Dr. Claudia Mureșan, promised a second and third edition because traditional food and wines deserve events that showcase their value.
Present at the event, UAV Vice-Rector, Professor Dr. Dana Maria Copolovici, emphasized the role of the university environment in facilitating dialogue and creating a space where producers and the HORECA industry can connect.
Online participants included Cosmin Dragomir from GastroArt, Cezar Ioan from Vinul.ro, and Chef Nico Lontras from Casa Timiș, Prahova.
In person, attendees included Oana Igrețiu - Savori Urbane, Adina Don - Vatra Caldă, Marian Lucaș - Grill House Pecica, Doina Ciuban - Garden Spices Păuliș, Association of Traditional Product Producers ARĂDEANCA, Traian Igaș - Taverna Pecicană Restaurant, the Food Industry High School, Dr. Eng. Balla Géza - Wine Princess Winery, Chef Marin Popescu - Marin and Friends Restaurant, Daniel Popescu - Dradara Winery, and Petru Dărau - Vine and Wine Museum in Pîncota.
