Ramona Lile „Bishop Ioan Mețianu school a dream come true”
2/28/2022A new school opens its doors in Arad under the aegis of AVU and Arad Archdiocese. The bicentennial of local theology is celebrated by the opening of “Bishop Ioan Mețianu” School, established in Arad by AVU with support from the Archdiocese. Authorized by ministerial order, the enrollment process for the 2022-2023 school year will start shortly. Without tuition fees but affording an after-school programme and the option for serving a hot meal, kids will be provided with the best possible environment.
„Our university, with the support of Arad Archdiocese, offers the local community a new option for quality primary education; at the same time, the school completes AVU`s educational project for Arad. It represents an undertaking we have fought for and we are delighted to start the enrolment process for the first generation of children this year” declared AVU`s Rector, Ramona LILE.
The enrollment will go ahead in accord with the official timeline relevant to infant classes. It is important to mention that „Bishop Ioan Mețianu” School does not have a circumscription, meaning that children can be enrolled irrelevant of their parents` official domicile. The school is located centrally, on Academia Teologică Street no.9 (Faculty of Theology building) close to the central market.
Children are welcomed in large classrooms with modern amenities. A playground is available in the school yard in addition to a diverse after school programmes that include: sports and creative activities as well as foreign language and culinary workshops.
