"Brain, Neuroscience, and Society"

The book "Brain, Neuroscience, and Society" was launched at "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad at the end of last week, in the presence of faculty members, guests, and UAV students. Present at the event, the Rector of UAV, Dr. Teodor Cilan, praised the value of the published works, emphasizing the relevance and importance of the discussed topic.

The volume contains a collection of academic papers presented at the National Multidisciplinary Conference organized by "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad in March 2024, as part of the international Brain Awareness Week grant, funded by the Dana Foundation through the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies.

The twenty scientific papers were authored by researchers and academics from prestigious higher education institutions in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, Brașov, Craiova, Oradea, and Arad, with scientific reviewers Sorina Paula Bolovan from Babeș-Bolyai University and Claudiu Baciu from the "Constantin Rădulescu-Motru" Institute of Philosophy and Psychology of the Romanian Academy.

"The volume represents an exceptional editorial endeavor, for which I would like to thank the authors of the scientific articles, the editors involved in creating the volume, the Municipal Cultural Center of Arad, which provided financial support for its publication, and all those who contributed to the successful completion of the project," stated the project coordinator and book editor, Maria Sinaci.

Speakers on the book included Sorina Bolovan, Dana Rad, Ștefan-Dominic Georgescu, and Maria Sinaci. The event was moderated by Tiberiu Dughi.

The work was published by Presa Universitară Clujeană Publishing House, under the care of editors Maria Sinaci, Ștefan-Dominic Georgescu, and Cristina Mihaela Salcă-Rotaru, as part of the project "Highlighting the Works of the Conference 'Brain, Neuroscience, and Society'," financed by the Municipal Cultural Center of Arad.
