TATTOO- BETWEEN PARENTAL PATTERNS AND ACCENTUATED PERSONALITIES

Abstract

Tattooing represents a practice which has ancient
origins. From tattoos discovered on mummies bodies to today`s
tattoos which can be seen on the street, they are still a taboo
subject. In Psychology tattoo represents a debating subject but
there is no specialty literature in that direction. That fact
promotes me to elaborate this research that focuses on tattoo and
the act of tattooing from the perspective of the influence of the
environment on our personality, especially familiar one. Thus, I
correlated familiar environment and parental patterns with the
developing of an accentuated personality. Also, I investigated if
there are differences between people with tattoo and people
without tattoo regarding tattooing issue, educational parental
pattern and the developing of an accentuated personality using
psychological instruments and analyzing all data obtained from
psychological point of view.
