International Conferences hosted by AVU`s Faculty of Orthodox Theology

On the 3rd of May 2023, with the blessing of His Eminence, PhD. Timotei Seviciu, Archbishop of Arad, two distinguished professors from Germany, Dr. Martin Illert and Dr. Reinhard Thole from the University of Halle, delivered a series of conferences at AVU`s "Ilarion V. Felea" Faculty of Orthodox Theology.

The general theme under which the academic events took place was: "The Hermeneutics of Ecumenical Dialogue in Today's Europe."

On this occasion, after the singing of the Easter hymn, Father Dean Prof. PhD. Cristinel Ioja greeted the guests and the attending students, thanking Archbishop Timotei for his blessing and presence. In a few concise words, he evoked the personalities of the two German professors, highlighting their contribution to the ecumenical dialogue between the Romanian Orthodox Church and the Evangelical Church in Germany. In this context, Father Dean expressed his joy in welcoming the delegation and the involvement of one of his colleagues from Arad, Father Professor Dr. Ioan Tulcan, in this dialogue.
