„The challenge of Interculturality in Arad`s School” Chinese language could be studied by local mid and high school students

Arad hosted the second edition of the “The Challenge of Interculturality in Arad`s Schools” conference, organized by the local branch of Romanian-Chinese House with the aid of Arad`s City Hall, Arad`s Cultural Centre and County School Inspectorate.

The event was attended by Mr. Zhao Lei, counsellor with the People`s Republic of China Embassy in Romania, Mrs. Ecaterina Vanea, director of the Romanian - Chinese House as well as Mr. Tiberiu Halita, sinologist. Also present were Feng Shaozhong, director of the Confucius Institute of Cluj Napoca, project coordinator Smaranda Moldovan as well as several Chinese business community and City Council representatives.

Discussions took place in the Townhall`s Ferdinand Public room. The conference benefited from the participation of Calin Bibart, Arad`s Mayor, Codruta Stoica, AVU vice rector, deputy school inspector Barbocz Isabella and several local school directors representing Preparandia National College, „Moise Nicoară” National College, „Vasile Goldiș” National College and National Computer Sciences Highschool.

Limba chineză ar putea fi studiată de elevii arădeni în cadrul programei școlare de gimnaziu și liceu.
