World environment day with AVU environmental specialists
6/8/2021Local pupils and their teachers have visited “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad on the World Environment Day to find out more about this year`s topic: “Ecosystem Restoration”. They have visited the university`s research labs and have had discussions about the various challenges faced by ecosystems. Participation included students from the following high schools: Liceul Tehnologic de Construcții și Protecția Mediului, (prof. eng. Audi Florentina), Liceul „Adam Muller Guttenbrunn”, (prof. Blidar Violeta and Martin Schwägerl) and Școala Gimnazială Pavel Covaci Macea, (prof. Simona Dinea).
They were received by professors and researchers from the Faculty of Engineering, Tourism and Environmental Protection: the faculty`s dean, Prof. PhD. Virgil Ciutină, prof. PhD. habil Munteanu Florentina, prof. PhD. habil Copolovici Dana and prof. PhD. habil Copolovici Lucian.
„We have really enjoyed this meeting. The concern expressed for the environment, for protecting ecosystems is laudable and we do hope that it will materialize in choosing a career in this field, possibly even with AVU”, declared the faculty`s Dean, Assoc. Prof. PhD. Virgil Ciutină.
