Training Mobility
Erasmus+ Staff Training Mobility: Academic and Administrative Staff Members
This type of programme affords academic and administrative staff members with the opportunity to take part in training mobility sessions (that range in duration from 2 working days to 2 months) with a higher education institution or company from a foreign participant country.
Objectives:
• To allow beneficiaries to develop improved professional competences and practical skills by participating in activities such as: workshops, seminars, conferences, practical training sessions etc.
• To allow participants to benefit from the good practices and the experience of partner institutions, as well as to develop skills pertaining to their current job profile
Academic/administrative staff members are selected by a university level Selection Committee based on the priorities for the relevant academic year and the available funding. The application file must include the following documents:
- CV
- Letter of Motivation (which must include a training plan proposal as well as the motivation behind selecting a particular university/institution)
- A Certificate of linguistic proficiency
- (Staff Mobility Agreement training)
In order to successfully complete a mobility programme – as approved by AVU`s Erasmus Charter, the participant shall receive European Commission assigned financial aid for all transportation and living related costs.
An Erasmus+ grant does not cover all mobility related expenses; it only represents a contribution towards covering living and travel expenses. All candidates are to be informed about the necessity to co-finance part of the incurred expenses.
Erasmus+ grant values differ according to the host country, as follows:

Erasmus+ grant values for travelling costs differ according to the distance between the host country and the applicant`s residence as follows:

The distance between the applicant`s country of origin and the host country is determined with the aid of the Distance Calculator provided by the European Commission (link: http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/tools/distance_en.htm)
The ERASMUS grant is wired into the participant`s account (which must be in Euros and operated by BRD) as follows:
- the first instalment (80% of the total grant) before starting the mobility
-the second instalment (20% of the total grant) upon return from the mobility programme and submitting the EU online questionnaire.
Before departure, each academic/administrative staff member shall submit his/her proposed activity plan (signed and stamped by both AVU and host university representatives) in order for the travel order form and the financial contract to be finalized. Within 5 days from his/her return, the academic staff member shall submit the following documents:
- A Certificate of Attendance, or a document issued by the host university attesting to the programme participation
- A travel order carrying the host institution`s signature and stamp
- A final activity report (the EU questionnaire shall be filled out and submitted online)

The timeframe for submitting Erasmus+ training mobility programme applications is 28.10.2019 – 15.11.2020. All application files are to be registered at AVU`s General Secretariat.
