AVU`s New Research Center - inaugurated in the Presence of Bogdan Ivan, Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digitalization

A project worth over 7 million euros won by Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad has led to the establishment of one of the country`s most important research centers: the Center for Research in Sustainable Bio-Eco-Economy located in Vladimirescu. Ther center will be involved in developing innovative solutions for environmental protection, integrated studies in biology and ecology, as well as research on various cancer medications or new medications for personalized therapies.

Present at the inauguration of the center, Bogdan Ivan, Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digitalization, stated: “This is a very important 7 million euros worth of investment for the national research infrastructure. I want to congratulate the rector for this project because she managed to transform an old industrial center into a space for innovation and research. I believe that this new field of bio-economy is set to become one of the most important segments of Romania's and Europe's sustainable development. The center has all the ingredients to become a successful benchmark in new technologies` research,” emphasized the minister.
