PhD symposium hosted by AVU

An event organised by AVU`s Faculty of Humanities and Social Studies and AVU`s Doctoral School brought together PhD (Humanities) students from the West University of Timisoara, 1 Decembrie 1918 University of Alba Iulia, Al. I. Cuza University of Iasi, University of Oradea as well as PhD candidates from the Republic of Moldova, Portugal and Mexico.

Participants could attend lectures by Prof. PhD. Kazimierz Jurczak (Jagiellonian University of Cracow) – “Romanian and Poles. How similar and how dissimilar are we”, “The marginals of 1947, a (trans)national rereading of crepuscular poetry” by Grațiela Benga-Țuțuianu from the “Titu Maiorescu” Institute of Banat Studies – Timisoara Branch of the Romanian Academy and “Anamorphoses du sensible: approches sur les images chez Mircea Cărtărescu” by scientific researcher Caio Russ ( University of São Paolo).

The symposium was financially supported by the Ministry of Education.
