Ramona Lile: "A Visit of Significance for AVU in China"

Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, represented by Rector Ramona Lile and the Faculty of Theology `s Dean Cristinel Ioja, are part of the Romanian delegation currently in China, alongside representatives from Babeș Bolyai University - Cluj-Napoca and education specialists from Maramureș, Bistrița, and Hunedoara.

The visit was organized by Cluj-Napoca`s Confucius Institute.

Prominent higher education institutions in the Chinese educational landscape were visited, amongst which Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, the Beijing Film Academy, as well as the Ministry of Education`s Center for Education and Linguistic Cooperation in Beijing and the School for Foreign Language Learning in Hangzhou.

The delegation's itinerary also included significant Chinese cultural sites as well as a visit to Romania`s Consulate General in Shanghai.

"The visit to China represents the opening of new collaboration opportunities in the educational field for our university and will strengthen the good relationships we have with higher education institutions in China and the Confucius Institute in Romania. Promoting Chinese culture and civilization in Romania, especially in Arad, is an important objective for our university, and we are confident that together with county level institutions and the Romanian-Chinese House in Arad, we will create a significant Chinese educational, economic, and cultural hub here" declared Rector Ramona Lile.
