Ramona Lile: "AVU is part of Romania's delegation at the EAIE conference"

"Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad, represented by its Rector, Ramona Lile, and Vice-Rectors Alexandru Popa and Teodor Cilan, will attend the 33rd annual conference and exhibition of the European Association for International Education (EAIE), taking place from September 26th to 29th in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The participation of the Romanian delegation, which includes the Arad state university, was organized by the National Council of Rectors (CNR) and is supported by the Ministry of Education.

During the event, Romania`s Minister of Education, Ligia Deca, received the Award for Vision and Leadership as recognition for the improvements made to the educational and social system.

EAIE awards are given annually to individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the field of international education.

"We are pleased to participate in this important event for European education, to be part of Romania's delegation alongside universities from across the country. It is a good opportunity to strengthen and develop relationships with higher education and research institutions across Europe, to gather new information, and to adopt examples of best practices from European educational systems, which will further AVU`s institutional development. A university must always remain a vibrant, dynamic organism that stays connected to European values, providing quality educational services to students as to help them adapt to the challenges posed by a global society," stated AVU Rector Ramona Lile.
