Ramona Lile “AVU admission continues for the autumn session”
8/7/2020Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad prepares for the autumn admission session, a second admission period being organized for places that are still available. The enrolment centre located on Bdul. Revolutiei no. 72 (inside the ex-National Bank headquarters, vis-à-vis the Town Hall building) will be open during August and September, Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 17.00 hours.
The first admission session registered a 30% higher enrolment rate compared to the previous year. Over 1300 students have elected to join one of AVU`s 9 available faculties; 450 students have registered online or with the regional county centres. The most requested specializations were: preschool and primary school pedagogy, psychology, public administration, music, physical education, management, banking and finance, automation and applied informatics, road vehicles, informatics. A noticeable increase in demand was also registered by the Faculty of Theology as well as by programmes offered in English.
“We are pleased that the number of those who have elected to study here is increasing. A factor that played an important role in this upsurge, visible in most university centres, is the higher number of those who have passed the Baccalaureate exam. We are glad to have been able to convince high school graduates to choose AVU. I do believe that an important factor is our educational offer, which is particularly well adjusted to labour market demands. As for the admission methodology, candidates were able to apply online, a much more requested option compared to previous years, or elect regional/county application centres” declared Prof. PhD. Ramona Lile, AVU`s RECTOR.
