AVU Rector, Ramona Lile, tour de force in the Republic of Moldova

A delegation from „Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad visited the Republic of Moldova. AVU Rector, Ramona Lile, joined by the director of the Teacher training Institute, Ovidiu Toderici, has partaken in meetings with the rectors of three Moldavian universities. The delegation staff also included Cristian Denis Bot, counsellor for Arad`s mayor.

In this veritable tour de force the delegation form Arad was assisted by Iurie Calestru, director for the Institute of Development and Project Expertise of the Republic of Moldova as well as Elena Mărgineanu, member of the Administrative Council (IDEP).

Three universities, lots of opportunities

AVU`s Rector visited „Nicolae Testemiţanu” State University of Medicine and Farmacy where she had a meeting with USMF`s Rector, prof. Emil Ceban.

Discussions were centred on identifying and developing joint project opportunities for attracting European funding. The official visit schedule also included a meeting with representatives of the State Pedagogic University of Chisinau, represented by Rector Alexandra Barbăneagră and Ludmila Armașu, vice-rector for scientific activity and international relations. AVU`s Rector also discussed future collaboration opportunities with the Rector of the Free International University, Ilian Galben.

„We had a very busy schedule yet each meeting has opened up new opportunities, new perspectives. Every discussion was involved with developing partnerships that would afford opportunities for attracting European funding. We were delighted to be joined by Mr. Denis Bot, counsellor for Arad Mayor`s, and we firmly believe that this visit shall pave the way for the development of bilateral agreements. Moldavian rectors were officially invited to visit Arad and I trust that each meeting will bring us closer to a shared goal: accessing European funding” declared Ramona LILE, AVU Rector.
