FAREWELL, PROFESSOR PAVEL BELEAN

Some people, even when they are no longer among us, remain alive in our memory through what they have built, through the example they set, and through what they gave to the community in which they lived.

The distinguished professor, Pavel Belean, was such a person. We cannot speak of him in the past tense, as long as we, those who today form the academic community of “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad, continue to build economic education on the foundation of a faculty whose establishment he decisively contributed to, alongside Professor Dimitrie Cameniță.

He built an institution, he shaped generations of young economists, and he left us, those of today, a legacy that we are bound to carry forward.

For the academic community of UAV, and especially for the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Professor Pavel Belean will always be a living model—someone whose life, devoted to the field of finance, continues to teach us valuable lessons.

We are honored to have known him, to be able to carry on the project that Professor Belean began at UAV through the establishment of the first study programs in the field of economic sciences, and to be among those who had the privilege of knowing him and working alongside him.
