Teodor Cilan: "New Investments at UAV Worth Over 10 Million Lei"
3/5/2025Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad (UAV) will carry out modernization works and equipment upgrades across seven faculties through the Regional Program West 2021-2027. Additionally, a new master's program will be established at the Faculty of Food Engineering, Tourism, and Environmental Protection.
"We are excited to announce a new project won by our university—'UAV - Creating a Modern Infrastructure, SMIS 328607'—within the Regional Program West 2021-2027," UAV Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teodor Florin Cilan, stated.
"European funding will allow us to modernize the university's infrastructure, ensure non-discriminatory access to quality education, provide modern learning conditions, and create the right environment for students to develop their skills in line with the region’s economic needs."
Key Project Highlights:
- 23 rooms (including 17 laboratories) across 7 faculties will be modernized and equipped.
- The modernized facilities will accommodate 525 people.
- Two accessibility measures will be implemented for students with disabilities.
- A new master's program will be launched at the Faculty of Food Engineering, Tourism, and Environmental Protection.
- 30 students will receive support through FSE+ activities.
The "UAV - Creating a Modern Infrastructure" project has a 24-month implementation period, with objectives set to be completed by January 31, 2027.

- 10,061,999.90 lei
- 9,848,366.91 lei in non-reimbursable funding.
