Teodor Cilan: "UAV provides a new opportunity for teachers in pre-university education."

The Faculty of Educational Sciences, Psychology, and Social Work at the "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad has opened registration for the professional conversion program in Primary and Preschool Education Pedagogy.

This program offers current teachers, regardless of the subject they teach, the opportunity to work as a preschool educator or primary school teacher after four semesters. It is open to graduates of higher education (bachelor's degree) who are employed in the pre-university education system, whether public or private.

"The program represents a good alternative for teachers in pre-university education, especially in the context of a reduction in the number of permanent positions in certain fields or a decrease in the number of hours due to the reduction in the number of high school classes. Those already affected by these factors can consider shifting towards primary and preschool education. This might be the option that allows them to remain in the system and ensures job security," said UAV Rector Teodor Cilan.

Registrations can be made until September 12 at the Unique Registration Center located at Bd. Revoluției no. 72 (BNR Palace), from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and on Saturdays and Sundays, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Admission is based on the submitted application, in order of the GPA achieved in the bachelor’s exam, within the limit of the 70 available places. Course cost: 2000 RON per semester.

Required documents:

  • High School Diploma (original and copy);
  • Transcript of records (original and copy);
  • Bachelor’s degree (original and copy) and transcript of records (original and copy);
  • Graduates from the 2024 cohort may submit, instead of the bachelor’s degree and transcript, a certificate attesting the GPA obtained in the bachelor’s exam and the GPA for the years of study at the university;
  • Birth certificate (original and copy);
  • Marriage certificate (original and copy);
  • Other documents proving a change of name (certified copy, if applicable);
  • Identity card/ID card (original and copy);
  • Medical certificate from the family doctor stating: "clinically healthy, fit for enrollment in the professional conversion program";
  • Certificate from the public or private pre-university institution confirming the applicant’s status as a teaching staff member;
  • Two color passport-sized photographs;
  • Envelope file + plastic folder.
