UAV Hosts the First Robotics League Meet in Arad

On Saturday, January 25, 2025, Arad will become the center of innovation and technology as it hosts the city’s first Robotics League Meet, organized by the "Delta Force" team from the National College of Informatics, in partnership with Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad.

The event will take place at UAV's M complex, starting at 9:00 AM, and promises to be a landmark moment for robotics enthusiasts.

More than 300 high school students passionate about technology from the counties of Arad, Timiș, Hunedoara, Dolj, and Gorj will bring to Arad innovative, creative, and spectacular robots, transformed into real technological solutions. The 20 participating teams will have the opportunity to showcase their technical skills and teamwork in an educational and competitive setting.

"This League Meet is more than just a competition. It is an extraordinary opportunity for collaboration, mutual learning, and exploration of the fascinating world of robotics. We are proud to bring such an impactful event to Arad and invite the entire community to join us in celebrating technology and innovation," said Octavian Dragoș Botoșan, mentor of the "Delta Force" robotics team.

The event is part of the official calendar of the First Tech Challenge Competition, organized by the "Nație Prin Educație" Association, and is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Research. The competition promotes the values of STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), aiming to inspire young people and support them on their path to excellence in technology.
