Europe Day at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences hosted the third edition of the European Day Competition - although this time it was dedicated to students.

Eight teams registered for the competition and completed four tasks, all related to the European Union: drawings, collages, a presentation on " YOU are the EU too" and a general knowledge quiz.

The participating teams, together with their coordinating teachers, were students from the following high schools: "Dimitrie Tichindeal" National College Arad, "Vasile Goldis" National College Arad, "Mihai Viteazul" National College Ineu, "Elena Ghiba Birta" National College Arad; "Adam Muller Guttenbrunn" Theoretical High School Arad, "Mihai Veliciu" Theoretical High School Chisineu-Cris, Chisineu-Cris Technological High School, "Iuliu Moldovan" Technological High School Arad.

Awards were given out for the first, second, and third place, in addition to a honourable mention as well as four special prizes for the best drawing, best collage, best presentation, and highest score registered on the general knowledge quiz.

The jury comprised of Assoc. Prof. Alina Pădurean, president, and members: Assoc. Prof. Camelia Stoian, Assoc. Prof. Adela Drăucean, Lecturer Iulia Roman, Assist. Prof. Dumitru Stefan Coman, and student Mihu Cristina.

First prize went to "Adam Muller Guttenbrunn" Theoretical High School Arad.

Second prize went to "Mihai Viteazul" National College Ineu.

Third prize went to "Vasile Goldiș" National College Arad.

The honourable mention went to "Dimitrie Tichindeal" National College Arad.

The special prize for the most beautiful drawing went to Chisineu-Cris Technological High School.

The special prize for the best collage went to "Iuliu Moldovan" Technological High School Arad.

The special prize for the best presentation went to "Mihai Veliciu" Theoretical High School, Chisineu-Cris.

The special prize for the highest score on the quiz went to "Elena Ghiba Birta" National College.
