Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad marks Global Ethics Day, celebrated worldwide on October 14, through the GLOBAL ETHICS DAY project, supported by the Arad Municipal Cultural Center. The project, coordinated by Associate Professor Dr. Maria Sinaci, aims to promote the development of ethical competence among students, expand ethical conduct, and connect to the global dimension of knowledge on ethical issues.
As part of the project, on October 14, starting at 10:00 AM, the Center for Applied Ethics Studies at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of UAV will organize a conference, workshop, roundtable discussion, and a poster competition for students.
A special guest, Professor Dr. Habil Ștefan Dominic Georgescu from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and the Constantin Rădulescu-Motru Institute of Philosophy and Psychology of the Romanian Academy, will give a lecture titled "Ethics in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: A Fundamental Philosophical Approach."
Global Ethics Day is an annual event initiated by the Carnegie Council for International Affairs in 2014, aimed at strengthening the role of ethics in society through the actions of citizens, businesses, professional organizations, educational institutions, governments, and nonprofit organizations.
