Ramona Lile “Caius Iacob, a traditional AVU competition”

Winners of the Caius Iacob international competition (13^th edition) were awarded at "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad in a festive setting. In the presence of AVU`s Rector, Ramona Lile, the Deputy County School Inspector, Tocoianu Daniel, Specialty Inspector, Alexandru Popa, directors and teachers from the pre-university system, and the Faculty of Exact Sciences managerial team, the top students were rewarded.

A total of 136 prizes were awarded for mathematical reasoning, mathematical techniques, programming, and information technology: 20 first prizes, 22 second prizes, 30 third prizes, and 64 honorable mentions for the best papers. Participants included over 300 students from 14 high schools and national colleges across 3 counties.

"This year, the competition enjoyed a wide participation amongst high school students. We congratulate all the participants for their achievements, for their hard work, and we look forward to them becoming students of the host faculty " stated Ramona Lile, AVU Rector.

This year's edition enjoyed the support of the County Council through Arad County`s Cultural Center.
