CIVILIAN TEACHERS IN A MILITARY ACADEMY. STUDENTS' PERCEPTION OF THE ROLE OF CIVILIAN TEACHING STAFF IN THE LAND FORCES ACADEMY OF SIBIU
Abstract
This paper presents the results of a study whose aim is to analyze the way in which civilian teachers from the Land Forces Academy of Sibiu are perceived by their students. In a first stage, the students were asked to rate to what extent their civilian teachers contribute to activities that are essential for the academy, listed in a questionnaire consisting of 24 questions. In the second phase of the study the students were asked to make a brief characterization of the civilian teaching staff. The results indicate that the students consider the influence of the civilian teaching staff on the quality of the academic environment in general and on their intellectual training in particular as being positive and significant. They also appreciated the high level of the teaching staff training in the areas of their specializations.ÂReferences
