Educational, Sports, Cultural and Solidarity Tourney: from the point of view of the Sports Organization

Abstract

The practice of organizing sports events is a new area of research and therefore requires further studies. The objective of this study was to identify events that have different values and characteristics from traditional sports competitions. To this end, a survey of information about these events and an interview with the organizing committees of these events were carried out. The study was guided by qualitative research, of a descriptive and interpretative nature, involving interviews and documentary research of the events selected for the study. After reading the data, information was gathered to better understand the values of the Educational, Sports, Cultural and Solidarity Tournament (TECSESP). As a result, we found that there is a sports organizational model for holding this event, the organizing committee of TECSESP that seeks to promulgate values that are passed on through the actions of participants and organizers. Because the event is held periodically, it has been structuring itself and seeking to be increasingly aligned with its target audience in a process of collaboration.
