This study explores innovative methods to stimulate
primary school students' interest in reading, emphasizing
non-formal educational approaches. The research was
conducted over six months at "Aron Cotrus" Junior High
School in Arad, involving an experimental and a control
group. Various strategies, including literary cafés, book
review competitions, and interactive reading activities,
were tested. The findings highlight that non-formal
methods significantly enhance students' engagement,
reading skills, and overall enthusiasm for books.
Additionally, teachers involved in implementing these
approaches reported positive changes in their
instructional strategies and student motivation. The study
concludes that integrating non-formal reading
techniques into the curriculum fosters a positive reading
culture and improves educational outcomes.
